EasyJet has relaunched its onboard Ukraine appeal to provide urgent support for those impacted by the ongoing conflict.
Part of the airline’s Change for Good partnership with Unicef, money raised will deliver “critical supplies” such as clean water and sanitation, healthcare, education, mental health and psychosocial support and emergency financial assistance.
EasyJet customers have already raised more than £800,000 for Unicef’s response to conflict - including a record-breaking £616,000 in a single month.
The carrier said around 3.7 million customers flying across 35 countries during the new collection period, running until 16 April, would be able to donate onboard in any currency.
EasyJet has partnered with Unicef since 2012, raising more than £16m in donations, including over £400,000 for families affected by the Turkey and Syria earthquake in February.
Michael Brown, easyJet’s director of cabin services said: “As a pan-European airline operating thousands of flights across Europe, with the support of our customers we can together help make a real difference to children and their families in Ukraine by supporting Unicef’s appeal.
“We would like to thank all of our customers in advance for any donations they can make and those who have donated so far for their kindness and generosity, as well as our fantastic crew who make this all possible.”
