EasyJet will launch a new year-round Paris route from London Southend airport later this year.
Four-times-weekly flights to the French capital’s main airport, Charles de Gaulle, will take from on 29 October.
EasyJet will operate the new route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Paris will become the fifth destination served by easyJet from Southend, alongside Amsterdam, Malaga, Majorca and Faro.
Fares went on sale on Thursday (25 May), just a day after easyJet’s inaugural Southend-Amsterdam flight.
Between Schiphol and Charles de Gaulle, Southend’s two new easyJet routes will open up a wide range of short-, mid- and long-haul connections via two of Europe’s biggest aviation hubs.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said the new route would open up new business and leisure opportunities for travellers served by Southend airport.
John Upton, Southend airport chief executive, added: "This announcement is another reminder of our commitment to rebuilding London Southend airport, and a great example of our growth opportunity.
"We are confident that there is more to come for summer 2024.”
