Edinburgh airport will gain a new summer sun route to Turkey next year, launching in the spring.
SunExpress, the Lufthansa-Turkish Airways joint venture, will make its debut in Scotland in April.
From 2 April, it will operate a twice-weekly Antalya service on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This will increase to a three-times-weekly operation from 24 May with the addition of a Thursday service.
SunExpress will operate the route using a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. Flights are on sale now, and can be packaged by operators and agents.
Kate Sherry, Edinburgh airport aviation director, said she was excited to bring a new airline to Edinburgh. "Turkey is one of the most requested destinations from our customers looking to get some sunshine," she added.
