Elite Travel Group names new general manager

The announcement was made at the consortium’s conference taking place in Granada.

His appointment follows the departure of Elite chief executive Neil Basnett, who stepped down in April.

Escott, who began his career with Horizon Holidays, has held a number of managerial roles in retail, tour operating, marketing and distribution.

He was most recently sales and partnerships manager at Al Fresco Holidays.

“Having John as general manager with his wide-ranging experience and skill sets, can only add to the ongoing success and strength of the consortium,” Elite said in a statement.
