Emirates is embarking on a "mammoth" recruitment drive to "lay the groundwork for its next big growth phase".
The group is looking to fill posts across nearly 200 "unique roles" spanning cabin crew, flight deck, engineering, IT and customer service. These roles cover both Emirates and its ground handling, air service and tour operations division dnata.
It follows the return of Emirates’ A380 to Glasgow airport in March following a three-year absence, and to Birmingham airport at the weekend following a similar absence.
Speaking to TTG in March, Emirates’ UK chief Richard Dewsbury said expansion was necessary to meet resurgent demand "at, or above, pre-Covid levels".
Emirates will begin taking delivery of a new fleet of Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-X aircraft next year, adding it was hopeful of taking advantage of "a buoyant travel market".
Pilot recruitment open days will be held in Dublin and Manchester in August, as well as events at Gatwick and Stansted, while Emirates will also host engineering open days in the UK during July and August.
Cabin crew, customer service and IT recruitment are ongoing. Emirates took on more than 17,000 people during its 2022/23 financial year (year to 31 March), growing headcount to more than 102,000.
