Jet2 has appointed Simon Breakwell and Angela Luger as independent non-executive directors.
Breakwell, who launched ride hailing company Uber in Europe and previously held roles with British Airways and Expedia, will join the company from 27 April.
He has spent a significant part of his executive career in the travel industry and is a former board member of HomeAway, the online vacation rental marketplace, and was also chair of Travel Data.
Meanwhile, Luger – who brings with her experience in marketing, e-commerce and retail through her career in FMCG marketing with Cadbury’s, Coca Cola and Mars – will start on 3 July.
She also spent 10 years at Asda, holding a variety of positions including trading director and global managing director for George.
She is currently chair of paint supply company The Paint Shed and non-executive director of New Look, Portmeirion Group and ScS Group.
