Grenada Tourism Authority’s (GTA) sales manager Emil Edwards has arrived in the UK as the association looks to boost its trade representation on the ground.
Edwards, who joined the GTA as their UK sales manager in June 2021, will host up to 20 travel agents and tour operators across a number of fam trips in 2022.
The GTA said Edward’s arrival "further reinforces" its commitment to the UK market as he takes a more "hands on" approach to engage with the trade with agent and operator training, meetings and representing the GTA at trade events.
Petra Roach, chief executive of the association, said the GTA will be focusing its efforts on giving tour operators and travel agents "all of the tools they need to be experts on our beautiful tri-island state".
"We’re investing heavily in our resources to ensure that Grenada has the best representation on the ground and having Emil there to work alongside our agencies is testament to that," Roach added.
Edwards said: "I am delighted to be here in the UK and look forward to showcasing Grenada’s beautiful beaches and rich culinary scene to tour operators and travel agents."
