More than a fifth of Brits regret their choice of holiday after they booked it, new research has claimed.
Figures published on Tuesday (28 March) by On the Beach reported 22% of people express regret straight after booking a holiday while 34% regret their choice after coming back.
According to the data, the wrong choice of hotel and destination were the main spoilers of Britons’ fun abroad while 26% of respondents said they regretted their travel partner.
“Regret is a word that shouldn’t exist when it comes to holiday bookings – before, during or after,” said chief customer officer Zoe Harris.
On the Beach also announced it was launching More Beach for your Buck, an online tool to help customers choose the best value-for-money option.
“Our handpicked More Beach for your Buck holidays are not only great value, they feature some of the best hotels in the best destinations all with that little something extra,” she said. “With our More Beach for Your Buck holiday online tool you can trust the process and leave the regret part to one too many cocktails or getting sand in your bits instead!”
