Finland has tightened its entry requirements for British arrivals due to a surge in Covid-19 cases across the UK.
Travellers from the UK over the age of 16 will now need to provide a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival to gain entry to the country. PCR tests will also be accepted.
The new requirement, introduced on Saturday (18 December), is in addition to the existing rules, which includes arrivals having to prove their vaccination status, take a test within two days of their return flight to the UK and take a test within two days of arriving in the UK.
A spokesperson for Tui said all customers with a booking for the rest of the season have been contacted with more information.
"Customers due to travel on day trips don’t need to take any additional action and use the antigen (rapid flow) test required by the UK authorities for both entry to Finland and entry to the UK," they added.
