Tui has named First Choice managing director Bart Quinton Smith as its new UK and Ireland sales and marketing director, effective from 1 January.
TTG 30 Under 30 alumnus Quinton Smith succeeds Neil Swanson, who was promoted to the role of Tui UK and Ireland managing director in October following the departure of Andrew Flintham, who has taken over at British Airways Holidays.
Quinton Smith, who joined Tui in 2010 as a pricing insight analyst, has held a variety of roles with Tui in the UK and Ireland, including general manager for product and innovation and head of digital marketing.
In September 2022, he was promoted to managing director of Tui’s First Choice brand.
"When I joined Tui in 2010, my first experience was within sales and marketing so having the opportunity to now lead this important area of the business is a real privilege,” said Quinton Smith.
Quinton Smith added: “Under Neil’s leadership, our teams have worked hard to develop Tui’s relationship with independent travel agent partners, and it remains my priority to ensure that continues and agents are provided with everything they need to successfully sell Tui’s extensive range of holidays to their customers.”
Swanson said Quinton Smith was “absolutely the right person” to lead Tui’s sales and marketing team thanks to his "extensive experience". He also confirmed Quinton Smith would remain a member of the Tui UK and Ireland board.
Quinton Smith was a member of the TTG 30 Under 30 Class of 2015, at which time he managed web and mobile development for Tui.
