New images have been released for Virgin Voyages first ship Scarlet Lady, revealing wellbeing features such as a spa “inspired by an underwater cave”, an adult playground and a boxing ring.
The line’s wellbeing programme is entitled Vitamin Sea, an ideology which it said was “inspired by the oceans and their importance in health and well-being for our planet and our daily lives”.
A wide variety of complimentary fitness classes will be available on board the adult-only ships, including sunrise and sunset yoga in the Crow’s Nest.
There will also be a running track which links to The Athletic Club, featuring an outdoor training zone including boxing ring, strength and gymnastics equipment, oversized gaming for outdoor adult play, cabanas for relaxation, “and a sporty bar for socialising post-workout”.
Meanwhile the “B-Complex” will offer a well-being and fitness experience with strength, spin, yoga and cardio in its Build, Burn, Bike and Balance rooms, which all have ocean views.
There will also be a well-being pool and cold-pressed juices served at the Gym and Tonic bar. MyBeast, “an artistic adult playground” and fitness apparatus designed by Equilibria, “will add a Venice Beach-like atmosphere to the Well-being Pool”, the line said.
On deck 5, will be Redemption - the ship’s spa, which Virgin Voyages said was “inspired by an underwater cave”.
It added that Redemption would serve as a “hideaway complete with hydrotherapy pool, mud room, salt room, cold plunge pools, quartz beds, and rejuvenating spa treatments”. By night, evening spa parties will be held where a DJ will “transform the spa’s thermal suite into a mermaid hideaway extravaganza”.
