The team at Tui’s new-look Cardiff store took more than 150 bookings in the first week after the revamp was unveiled.
The store reopened at a new location in Queen Street on 23 February, staffed by an experienced team of 12.
They were joined by two of the store’s most loyal customers, Gillian Locke and Peter Haye, to mark the occasion, both of whom have been booking with Tui in Cardiff for more than 25 years.
"We’ve loved welcoming customers into our new, modern and spacious store, it’s got a lovely and warm atmosphere," said senior retail manager Gemma Morgan.
"In our first week of opening, we booked holidays for more than 150 customers, and the feedback we have had about the store has been fantastic," Morgan continued.
"We’ve loved being able to welcome familiar faces back into the store, as well as meeting many new ones."
Morgan revealed Benidorm was continuing to prove one of the store’s most popular destinations, but stressed the team had also seen an uptick in demand for long-haul options like Mexico, Thailand and the Maldives.
"Cruises are really popular among our Cardiff customers too," Morgan added. “We are a team of 12 and are all well-travelled so know how to inspire and tailor-make customers’ holidays.
"The team has particular expertise across cruise, Europe, the Caribbean, the US and Asia, so we are ready to help our customers explore the world and create lasting memories."
