Flybe has taken delivery of the first of five additional aircraft after sealing a deal with a leasing company.
The agreement with Aergo Capital means the airline, which launched in April, has begun expanding its original fleet of four aircraft.
It said the additional Bombardier Q400s, which are on long-term leases, would enable the airline to continue growing its planned fleet to a total of 32 aircraft “over the next few years”.
Flybe chief executive Dave Pflieger said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Aergo Capital as we take delivery of additional Q400s and grow our fleet with more of these aircraft that are very popular with our customers.”
