Virgin Voyages has expanded its sales team with the appointment of former Princess Cruises sales operation manager Mark Lowman as New Zealand and Australia sales lead.
TTG 30 Under 30 alumnus Lowman’s appointment comes after the line’s vice-president of international sales Shane Riley announced plans last year to double the company’s sales team.
In addition, the company has recruited Matthew Lebburn, also formerly of Princess Cruises, to the role of sales manager for Spain and emerging markets.
The expansion also sees an increased focus on customer support with the introduction of support lead Chris Woodcock and support executive Sarah Gilligan, formerly of Cruise.co.uk.
Meanwhile, Kerry Buchanan has been promoted to the role of business development manager for Scotland, North East and Northern Ireland.
For the first time, Virgin Voyages has also appointed a UK based head of international marketing, Gemma Major, who joins from sister brand Virgin Atlantic.
Riley said: "I am incredibly excited to welcome these new additions to the team. Each appointment has been carefully selected to raise the bar and continue building momentum as we prepare to welcome two ladyships later this year."
