German airport strikes to impact dozens of UK-bound flights
Will PayneStrikes across all major airports in Germany on Friday (17 February) are expected to impact more than 70 flights to the UK.
According to data analytics firm Cirium, there are scheduled to be more than 1,110 departures from the affected German airports in Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Dortmund, Hannover and Bremen.
There are 74 flights scheduled to depart from the airports to the UK, with Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and London City seeing the highest number of services.
Frankfurt was scheduled to see the highest number of departures (478), followed by Munich (366), Hamburg (128), Stuttgart (75), Hannover (33), Bremen (19) and Dortmund (18).
In a pre-emptive measure, Lufthansa on Thursday (16 February) cancelled more than 1,300 flights departing Germany on Friday (17 February).
