Guernsey is set to drop all Covid-19 border restrictions for all arrivals, regardless of vaccination status, on 17 February.
Travellers from all destinations will no longer be required to take a test on arrival, self isolate, or complete a "Travel Tracker".
If someone tests positive for the virus, there will be no legal requirement to quarantine, although people have been urged by Guernsey’s Civil Contingencies Authority (CCA) to "continue to act responsibly" and stay home if unwell.
The CAA said it felt it was "no longer proportionate or necessary" to continue utilising emergency regulations to manage the virus, because of the "high vaccine uptake" among the community.
However, authority chair Peter Ferbrache did not rule out the possibility of having to reimplement the restrictions.
"Everyone must heed the public health advice and we must develop a culture where it is considered unacceptable for someone to be out and about willingly and knowingly spreading their germs if they are unwell," he added.
"Staying at home if you are unwell is the number-one thing we must as a community take away from all that we have learnt in managing this pandemic."
