Holland America Line has outlined plans to have its full fleet of 11 ships back in service by 12 June.
As part of its 149th anniversary celebrations, the line plans to have Noordam back in service on 24 April, Oosterdam on 8 May, Zaandam on 12 May and Westerdam on 12 June. The official naming ceremony for Rotterdam will also be held on 30 May in Rotterdam.
Prior to the event, Rotterdam will depart Amsterdam on 29 May on a seven-day “Rotterdam Naming Celebration” cruise that explores the landscapes of Norway.
To mark its anniversary, HAL will also offer grand desserts, special champagne toasts and festivities to guests and team members onboard sailings.
HAL president Gus Antorcha said the past couple of years have "shown the importance" of celebrating milestones.
"This April is an important month with Holland America Line leading the return to Canadian cruising, the restart of Noordam and our anniversaries of our founding and travel to Alaska," he added. "We are grateful to be moving along a positive path, not only as a brand, but as an industry."
