Holland America Line will host more than 400 agents during its 2024 ship visit programme, which will feature two new events this year.
The line will host eight travel agent ship visits this year in total and is offering 430 agent places, an increase of nearly a quarter on the 350 it offered last year.
Two new events will be held in Newcastle and Cork, with events also taking place in previous host cities Dover, South Queensferry, Liverpool and Belfast.
HAL is offering four opportunities to explore Nieuw Statendam ahead of its 2025 ex-UK programme, which will operate out of Dover, as well as tours of other ships Rotterdam and Zuiderdam.
Each visit will feature a welcome from the HAL trade team, a guided tour and lunch. Details of how agents can register are to follow, said HAL.
"Following the fantastic feedback we received regarding our 2023 ship visit programme, we have decided to go one better and provide even more opportunities for agents to get onboard this year," said Karen Farndell, HAL director of sales and marketing.
"These visits are crucial in helping the trade broaden their knowledge and understand what makes Holland America Line unique in the market. As we prepare to offer ex-UK sailings from Dover in 2025, it’s even more vital we give agents the information they need to confidently sell these itineraries."
Farndell added: "These ship visits complement the raft of trade-friendly tools we have available, ensuring we have everything in place to help generate enquiries and sales."
