Team GB stars will be appearing at Haven parks across the UK as part of a new tie-up between the domestic holiday specialist and the British Olympic Association.
Haven has become one of the team’s official partners in the build-up to next year’s Tokyo Olympics and aims to “give families a chance to experience a slice of Tokyo 2020” through activities and meet-and-greets.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Team GB athletes and mascot, Pride the Lion.
The athletes will be sharing their experiences as part of Team GB, with the aim of inspiring the next generation of sports enthusiasts.
Haven has pledged to work with Team GB to build on its existing offerings “to boost momentum and excitement” in the run-up to Tokyo 2020, encouraging guests to partake in a range of onsite games.
It currently offers outdoor and indoor sport activities including swimming, cycling, sailing, tennis and archery.
Jane Bentall, Haven managing director, said: “We are very proud to be supporting the incredible talent of Team GB, one of the UK’s most-loved and trusted brands.
"We will strive to bring Team GB and their athletes closer to our holidaymakers and holiday home owners across England, Scotland and Wales and help those young athletes realise their dreams in getting to Tokyo 2020.”
Bill Sweeney, chief executive of the British Olympic Association, said: “The British holiday industry continues to be hugely in demand with Haven’s approach to creating great, affordable family holiday experiences.
"We feel sure there is real overlap between loyal Haven customers and the Team GB fanbase.
“We’re excited by the creative discussions we’ve already had about how Team GB can promote activity and fun across all of Haven’s parks, including the inclusion of Olympic sports and initiatives linked to Team GB on holiday parks during and outside of Games time.
"With Tokyo 2020 under 18 months away, they join us at the perfect time."
