Hays North West team enjoy first Jet2 fam for two years
James ChappleJet2holidays recently hosted its first fam for two years, whisking 16 members of staff from Hays Travel North West away for a three-day trip to Lanzarote to reward them for going the extra mile during the pandemic.
Retail director Lindsey Barber and retail operators manager Ruth Ward led the group, who stayed at the five-star Dreams Playa Dorada Resort and Spa and the five-star Secrets Lanzarote. They were joined by Jet2holidays national sales manager Simon Marshall and senior sales executive Freya Sutcliffe.
"In the darkest days of Covid and lockdown, we had a dedicated team working long hours from home providing an amazing service to all our customers – and we always promised them that when it was all over, we would enjoy a few days in the sun all expenses paid," said Barber.
She continued: "So as soon as we were over the worst, we spoke to our friends at Jet2holidays who were magnificent in putting together this amazing trip for us. The group of 16 spent the trip relaxing by the pool, and enjoying the local night life and gala dinners provided by the hotel. They also visited Timanfaya National Park with lunch at the famous Jamoes del Agua restaurant."
Marshall added: “With travel returning to normality, it’s been a pleasure escorting the Hays Travel team on Jet2holidays’ first overseas familiarisation since the start of the pandemic."
He continued: "With demand returning strongly and everyone very much getting back into selling mode, we wanted to get together with the team and say thanks for their hard work and continued partnership.
"Both the Dreams and Secrets Resorts teams made us feel so special and showcased their newly refurbished product perfectly. In addition, it was fantastic to see the Jet2holidays team putting on our VIP customer service in destination once again. We are looking forward to a very busy 2022."
