Holland America Line and Seabourn have become the latest Carnival Corporation brands to ease their Covid-19 testing measures for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests.
Testing for fully vaccinated customers will be dropped for most sailings of less than 16-nights in length, while unvaccinated travellers will only need to submit proof of a negative self-administered test taken within three days of sailing.
The protocols do not apply to itineraries for countries where local regulations may vary, such as Canada, Australia, and Greece. The updated guidelines are also subject to the local regulations of applicable home ports and destinations.
Passengers on sailings of 16 nights or more, not including transits of the Panama Canal, must show evidence of a medically supervised Covid-19 test with a negative result taken within three days of embarkation.
The changes will come into effect on 6 September, alongside other Carnival Corporation brands P&O Cruises, Cunard, Carnival Cruise Line and Princess Cruises.
"Our goal is to offer a luxury vacation experience that is unmatched in quality, safety, and joy," said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn. "These updated guidelines reflect our ongoing commitment to protecting our guests, the people in the communities we touch and serve, and our shipboard and shoreside employees."
"Our guests have been excited to return to cruising, and these changes will make it easier for more guests to explore the world in a safe and enjoyable environment," said Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line.
