Hospitality giant Accor is to begin offering flights alongside hotel stays through a white label deal with online travel agency Expedia Group.
The Flight + Hotel service will use Expedia’s Open World platform to allow Accor customers to book flights from the OTA’s inventory of more than 500 airlines around the world. France-based Accor owns hotel brands such as ibis, Mercure, Fairmont, Sofitel, Raffles and Novotel.
The new service will be integrated with the hotel firm’s ALL – Accor Live Limitless loyalty programme for customers through a new website dedicated to flight and hotel packages, where they can earn points and rewards on both elements of the booking.
Accor will initially launch the Flight + Hotel service in Australia later this year, with the introduction in the UK and other major European markets “to follow”.
Ariane Gorin, president of Expedia for Business, said: “Accor is a longstanding partner and we are proud that it has placed its trust in Expedia Group’s technology and our team.
“By using Expedia Group’s Open World platform, Accor’s travellers will have access to our global supply of airlines along with our multilingual traveller support services and will be able to earn Accor loyalty points in a seamless end-to-end experience.
“Accor itself will now be able to increase brand loyalty, grow revenues and attract the high-value package traveller.”
