Icelandic airline Play has launched its first-ever flights to and from Scotland, opening up connections with the US and Canada via Reykjavik.
Play’s first Scottish flight departed Glasgow airport at 11.55am on Friday (26 May), bound for Keflavik, and will offer a budget North America option for Scottish holidaymakers.
Return tickets to Iceland start at £87pp and the service will operate up to four times per week through the summer and into the autumn of 2023, with up to two flights per week in the winter.
Birgir Jonsson, chief executive of Play, said: "Iceland is a nation of music lovers, so this new route to Glasgow will be music to the ears of our many passengers wishing for an affordable route to see their favourite bands in Glasgow."
Play also operates from Stansted and Liverpool airports.
