Indonesia closes the door to UK tourists

Gary NoakesIndonesia has banned UK tourists from entering the country due to Covid.
The UK joins Norway and Denmark on the list of barred nations, according to Reuters.
Minister Luhut Binsar Panjaitan said the countries had been added to the list as a precautionary measure after Indonesia identified its first case of the Omicron variant last week.
The island of Bali is a popular choice for some honeymooners, but the ban comes as the destination is approaching its low season of January and February, which see the most rainfall.
Bookings for the high season of July and August are unlikely to be affected.
