More than 50 arrests were made on Monday morning (27 September) after Insulate Britain protestors blocked access to Heathrow.
Metropolitan police officers attended the demonstration after activists blocked Junction 14 of the M25. The road was cleared at around 11am.
An injunction was granted by the High Court last Tuesday (21 September), which states those involved "may be held in contempt of court and may be imprisoned, fined or have their assets seized".
Insulate Britain spokesperson Liam Norton said: "You can throw as many injunctions at us as you like, but we are going nowhere. You can raid our savings and confiscate our property. You can deny us our liberty and put us behind bars. But that is only shooting the messenger."
On Monday morning (27 September), the Met tweeted: "Some activists have used superglue to frustrate our response. We are working as quickly as possible to clear the roads and get people moving.
"We made 53 arrests as we worked to minimise disruption to motorists. Where possible we opened up lanes to ensure traffic could continue to move. Those arrested are being taken to custody."
