InteleTravel has launched a new training initiative encouraging its more established agents to support industry newcomers joining the homeworking firm.
InteleTravel’s ambassador scheme currently has 12 members, comprising agents “achieving steady sales growth” and looking to help mentor inexperienced colleagues.
A further nine ambassadors are undergoing training and those involved in the scheme receive a number of benefits – including priority invitations to events, a dedicated social media channel and a red jacket.
Dani Brown, owner of Lincolnshire-based Dani’s Destinations UK, joined InteleTravel in April 2019. After becoming an ambassador in May 2020, Brown later achieved “master ambassador” status in February.
Brown said: “When a new agent that I’ve helped messages me and says they’ve got their first booking, you get an incredible buzz. We’re there to help train, coach and mentor agents, answer their queries and offer general support.”
Tricia Handley-Hughes, InteleTravel’s UK director, said the group’s ambassadors “make an important contribution” to the development of other agents and “deserve the recognition and support”.
