InteleTravel recently hosted more than 100 of its top advisors at its first "aspirational" luxury travel summit in London.
The summit focused on developing delegates’ understanding of the marketing, choosing appropriate product and managing luxury customer expectations.
The event was supported by educational content from various luxury partners, covering top suites and accommodation, luxury cruise and trending luxury destinations.
InteleTravel said the event underpinned its global strategy to up its focus on the luxury sector owing to its greater resilience to economic downturns versus other sectors.
"Past data also shows that luxury travel is usually buoyant during election years," said the group.
InteleTravel top 10 performing advisors amassed more than £827,000 in sales during October, with Jo Baiao – one of the advisors in attendance – achieving the single largest sale in October of £176,234.
Tricia Handley-Hughes, InteleTravel managing director UK and Ireland, said: "Our 2024 bookings remain buoyant and getting advisors to recognise that luxury means different things to different people, and ensuring every trip creates a positive memory, should result in repeat business.
"Many advisors who attended this event already sell luxury, but we also welcomed newer agents to this sector - it gives them an aspiration to achieve, when they can learn not just from suppliers, but their fellow colleagues."
