Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have introduced 500 new flights to Greece, Turkey and Portugal due to meet demand for these destinations for the rest of this summer.
The company’s new flights add just less than 100,000 seats to the three destinations from its nine UK bases for the rest of the summer 2020 season.
Jet2 only restarted flights to the Algarve gateway of Faro on Monday (24 August) and is adding 100 new flights to Faro from Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Stansted, Newcastle and Manchester.
The airline is also adding more flights from Stansted to Funchal in Madeira.
More than 50 flights are being added to Turkey with additional services to Antalya from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Stansted, as well as extra services to Dalaman from East Midlands, Manchester and Newcastle.
Jet2 is adding more flights from UK airports to six Greek island destinations – Heraklion in Crete, Corfu, Kos, Zante, Kefalonia and Rhodes.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The demand we are seeing for holidays in Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus tells us that Summer 20 is very much alive in our customers’ minds.
“It is clear that Britons want to get away from the gloom to enjoy their much-needed holidays, and we are responding to that by adding hundreds of flights so that they have even more choice when it comes to booking that welcome escape.”
