Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has put more flights and holidays to Greece and Turkey on sale for this summer, citing strong customer demand for the Mediterranean favourites.
The decision comes just a week after the airline and operator confirmed its summer 2025 Greece programme would be its largest-ever thanks to the addition of three new destinations, eight new routes and more than 125 new hotels.
Now, extra capacity has been added from Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle to Antalya, Kos, Rhodes and Crete (Heraklion) between May and September this year.
From Glasgow, Jet2 will now operate up to seven weekly services to Antalya; from Manchester, there will extra services to Antalya, Kos and Rhodes; and from Newcastle International, there will be more flights to and from Antalya and Crete (Heraklion).
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “Feedback from customers and independent travel agents is telling us that flights and holidays to Greece and Turkey are very much in demand for summer 2025.
“As the UK’s largest tour operator, we continue to react quickly to the demand we are seeing by adding on even more capacity, meaning this year we will operate our biggest ever summer programme.”
Jet2 will for the first time this summer offer the Greek islands of Poros, Aegina and Leros, leveraging existing routes to Athens and Kos. Packages will include ferry and onward land transfers.
The majority of its new routes operating to Greece this summer will be from its two newest bases Bournemouth, launching in February, and Luton, launching in April.
TTG caught up with Jet2holidays' trade chiefs Alan and Lloyd Cross this month to find out what they have in store for agents this year, including why "branded" shops perform better, why the airline and operator might need to grow its trade team, and why it needs to place fresh emphasis on training store managers, owners and directors rather than just frontline staff.
