Jet2 announces first flights to Montenegro

Flights from Stansted and Manchester will get under way in the spring.

The carrier will operate two weekly services, on Thursdays and Sundays, from both Stansted and Manchester, flying from May through October.

Tivat opens up the west coast of the Balkan peninsula to Jet2 customers, previously most easily accessible from Dubrovnik in neighbouring Croatia.

Resorts include Budva, Becici and Herceg Novi, as well as the coastal town of Tivat itself and the famous Kotor Bay.

Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “The introduction of services to Tivat means we are operating direct flights to Montenegro for the first time.

“With stunning scenery, a wonderful climate and fantastic resorts such as Budva and Becici on offer, we are expecting this destination to be hugely popular with holidaymakers.”
