Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has appointed former easyJet director Rachel Kentleton to its board.
Jet2 said Kentledon has held various senior positions in finance, investor relations and strategy, including boardroom roles with Travelodge and Trustpilot Group.
She will take up her new position as an independent non-executive director on Monday (18 March) joining Jet2’s audit and risk and remuneration committees.
And following an external audit of Jet2’s 2023/24 full-year financials, she will then take over a chair of the audit and risk committee.
Her appointment follows Mark Laurence’s decision to retire from the Jet2 board after 14 years as a non-executive director.
Robin Terrell, Jet2 plc’s non-executive chair, said: "Rachel is an experienced director, with an impressive track record both in her executive and non-executive roles.
"Her breadth of expertise will be invaluable as we continue our focus on people, service, profits and deliver our strategy to be the UK’s Leading and best leisure travel business."
Terrell also paid tribute to Laurence. "I would like to thank Mark for his service over a period in which the turnover of the business grew more than tenfold and wish him well for the future."
