Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has put an extra 11,000 seats to the Canary Islands on sale for winter 2019/20 from Leeds Bradford airport.
The airline and operator will put on additional flights to both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, and place larger aircraft on certain flights.
A weekly Thursday flight to Fuerteventura between 13 February and 14 May will grow its service to three-times weekly during this period, timed to coincide with February, Easter and May half-term holidays.
Meanwhile, the addition of larger aircraft will give Yorkshire holidaymakers greater scope for winter getaways, says Jet2.
Jet2 will also add around 6,000 Lanzarote seats at Leeds Bradford this winter with the introduction of a new weekly flight on Fridays from 15 November to 13 December, growing its service during this period to up to five a week.
Like Fuerteventura, Jet2 will also place larger aircraft on flights to Lanzarote to increase pre-Christmas capacity.
Jet2 also operates year-round flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife from Leeds Bradford.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said the carrier had “responded quickly” to extra demand for flights and package holidays to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
“With more services and frequencies, holidaymakers now have even more choice and flexibility when it comes to where and when they would like to enjoy a getaway,” Heapy added.
John Cunliffe, aviation and commercial director at Leeds Bradford airport, added: “The investment to increase passenger numbers shows demand for winter holiday travel remains strong.
“We look forward to working closely with the airline to welcome more holidaymakers from across the Yorkshire region.”
