Jet2 has extended its summer 2020 season to Crete with new early-April flights from five of its nine UK bases.
Additional services have been added at Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Stansted airports.
In total, the airline and operator will put more than 300,000 seats on sale to Heraklion next summer across its nine UK bases.
The early April flights will allow Jet2 holidaymakers to consider the Greek island for an Easter getaway for the first time.
Jet2 says the move comes off the back of demand for holidays earlier in the season, including Easter, and outside the peak summer holiday period, and the company’s partnership with local hoteliers and the Greek National Tourist Board.
The programme includes a range of two to five-star hotels, as well as villa holidays available through Jet2Villas.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “Crete is a destination attracting more and more customers in the shoulder seasons. With stunning beaches, fantastic food and drink, and amazing history and culture to explore, we know there is strong demand for flights and holidays earlier in the season and in time for Easter.
“This expanded programme shows our commitment to Crete as a fantastic destination to enjoy both during the peak season and outside it, and we look forward to working in partnership with hoteliers and the Greek Tourist Board to deliver a successful programme.”
