Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have operated to Athens for the first time after inaugural flights departed from Manchester and Birmingham airports on Thursday morning (14 April).
The airline and operator will offer two weekly services on Thursdays and Sundays from each base until the end of October. Up to four weekly flights will depart from the UK to Athens throughout the summer months.
When travelling to the Greek city, customers can choose from a flight-only or a package option with Jet2CityBreaks available from a £60pp deposit.
As well as offering services to Athens for the first time, the companies will also operate to two other new destinations this summer – Sardinia from Manchester and Stansted and Sicily from Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Stansted from 1 May.
