Jet2 to add Lisbon as summer 2020 city break destination
James ChappleJet2 will launch flights and city break packages to Lisbon for summer 2020.
Chief executive Steve Heapy revealed the new destination at Jet2’s VIP conference in Calpe, Spain, on Tuesday (26 November).
Heapy also teased an additional summer 2020 destination, which he hoped Jet2 would be able to announce next week.
On Lisbon, Heapy said it was a destination Jet2 had been wanting to do for some time.
New Lisbon product will go on sale next week, Heapy told the conference’s agent delegates.
Heapy said while the Portuguese capital was primarily a city break destination, it was also a gateway to the Portuguese coast centred around Estoril and Cascais.
Agents were also urged to let Jet2 know which destinations they want to see the operator launch in in the future.
New Jet2 destinations for summer 2020 include Innsbruck, Zadar, Tivat, Preveza, Skiathos, Lesvos and Kalamata.
Heapy said agents had asked for more Greek product, and advised them to look out for further announcements on Greece.
