Jet2holidays has appointed a dedicated business development manager to oversee and strengthen relationships with homeworkers and call centre agencies.
Ray Hudson-Evans joins the airline and operator from Hays Travel, and brings more than 20 years’ travel industry experience with the likes of Tui and Thomas Cook to the role.
Jet2 said Hudson-Evans would play a "key role" ensuring homeworking agents are every bit as much at the heart of its Partners2Success approach as retail agencies and consortia.
Hudson-Evans, who took up his role earlier this month, will work closely with each homeworking business’ head office to match Jet2’s approach with their individual approaches and philosophies.
A major part of his role will be to help homeworking businesses and call centre agencies to get to grips with the operator’s Jet2holidaysLearn platform and knowledgebase, which features a range of tools to help them increase sales.
He will also help them navigate a range of incentives and work with them to explore new ways of developing partnerships further.
Alan Cross, Jet2holidays head of trade, said: “Ray is a fantastic addition to our award-winning trade team and brings a wealth of experience to the role. We know his experience will be valuable to homeworkers and call centres, who are absolutely critical to the success of Jet2holidays.
"A key part of our strategy is tailoring our approach to suit each homeworking business depending on their requirements, and Ray’s appointment will help us take this to the next level. We know Ray’s appointment will be welcomed by homeworkers and call centres, and we are delighted to have him with us.”
Jet2holidays is also recruiting for a trade sales support coordinator.
