Jet2holidays is strengthening its partnership with independent agents with a new campaign designed to help them convert more enquiries into bookings.
Details of the Travel Made Simple with Jet2holidays campaign were revealed at the airline and operator’s annual VIP conference in Leeds on Thursday (25 November).
Jet2holidays said the campaign had been developed to “tap into the huge customer demand for knowledge and expertise” that independent agents can provide to customers.
The campaign includes a staff training programme for agents, alongside “bespoke” marketing materials that can be used across email, social media, online and in stores.
Agents taking part will also be able to use Travel Made Simple marketing materials in their shops, while trained staff can wear Ask Me Anything badges designed to give customers “total confidence” about booking their trips.
"Independent agents will be given the skills and expertise to hold customers’ hands whether researching, booking or travelling on a Jet2holiday so that they can confidently navigate any barriers to travelling such as restrictions or testing," said the operator.
Alan Cross, head of trade sales at Jet2holidays, said: “Stores are open and demand is growing all the time, so we will be working alongside independent travel agency partners to give them everything they need to not only customer questions but to turn that dialogue into sales too.
“We know how much customers value the expertise and knowledge that independent travel agents provide and we believe there is enormous potential in unleashing the power of that trust.
“By taking part in Travel Made Simple with Jet2holidays, independent travel agents will be seen by customers not only as trusted friends to help them navigate travel issues such as restrictions and testing, but as the people who can very easily turn their holiday dreams into reality.”
Cross said Jet2holidays was launching the campaign now so that agents were “ready for the demand out there” as the peaks selling season approaches.
“Not only will it equip independent travel agents to inspire confidence amongst customers wanting to book a package holiday but it will enable them to get onto the front foot when it comes to promoting holidays too,” added Cross.
“As always, we are looking at the trends on the high street and responding to them so that we can strengthen our partnership approach to working with independent travel agents.”
Jet2 is also gearing up to launch a range of "new-look" brochures next month that will take on a more editorial, magazine feel.
