Jet2holidays has put four new European destinations on sale across Greece, Portugal and Croatia, as well as its 2025 city break programme, citing "continued demand from customers and independent agents".
The Greek island of Symi and the Athenian Riviera are the latest additions to Jet2’s summer 2024 programme, with Pula on Croatia’s Istrian coastline poised to join the line-up in summer 2025, along with Porto city breaks.
Head of product Zoe Towers revealed the additions at the Jet2holidays VIP conference in Belek, Antalya, on Wednesday (29 November).
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: "Announcing four new destinations represents a significant expansion of our portfolio, and it comes in direct response to the demand we are seeing from customers and independent travel agents."
Heapy said the additions of Symi and coastal Athens demonstrated the airline and operator’s commitment to Greece, adding Jet2 was thrilled to be expanding to Porto and Pula. "This growth is only possible thanks to the loyalty of customers and independent travel agents," Heapy added.
Jet2 will serve Symi in the south-east Aegean from all 11 of its UK bases via Rhodes, where guests will spend the first night of their holiday before taking an approximately 90-minute ferry to Symi the following day.
Part of the Dedecanese islands, Symi is known for its beaches, its harbour town and slower pace of life. Accommodation is available in three main centres – Symi town, Pedi and Emporios.
Back on the mainland, Jet2 will offer a range of three to five-star accommodation across eight resorts in coastal areas in and around Greece’s capital Athens – Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Lagonissi, Anavyssos, Sounio, Vravrona, Mati and Marathon.
Summer 2024 flights to Athens will operate from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted between 2 May and 31 October. With the addition of Symi and coastal Athens, Jet2 will fly more than 100 routes to 14 Greek airports in summer 2024, operating to 19 holiday regions.
Turning to summer 2025, Jet2 will offer seven resorts in and around Pula on Croatia’s Istrian coastline – Porec, Rovinj, Umag, Novigrad, Pula, Medulin, Vrsar and Rabac. Flights will be available from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted.
It marks a return to Pula for Jet2.com, a destination it has offered from several of its bases going back a decade.
Porto is the final addition to Jet2’s programme, with Jet2CityBreaks available to Portugal’s second city from Birmingham and Manchester poised to get under way in summer 2025.
Up to two weekly services will be available from each airport from 27 March 2025 to 9 November 2025 on Thursdays and Sundays.
Jet2 has also put its full summer 2025 Jet2CityBreaks programme on sale from Birmingham, Glasgow, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted airports.
Destinations include Athens, Barcelona, Budapest, Krakow, Prague, Paris, Rome, Nice, Vienna and Venice, with additional summer 2025 flights to Barcelona, Prague and Rome from Birmingham and to Athens, Barcelona and Venice from Manchester.
In total, Jet2 will operate more than 110 weekly flights across 40 city break routes, with nearly one million seats on sale for summer 2025 – a 12% increase compared with summer 2024.
