Latin Routes has hired three new recruits onto an in-house training programme it launched during the summer.
The salaried trainee initiative is aimed at those with little or no experience who want to get into travel – such as university graduates – as well as other industry staff looking for a new opportunity.
After a number of applications, the operator has hired three new recruits onto the programme who have completed their month-long training programme, which included visits to a number of travel agencies.
Jess Dennison, co-founder and head of trade relations, said she has been "delighted" with the progress of the new recruits.
"We’re thrilled that our trainee programme was well received upon its launch and that we were able to bring in three graduates and offer them their first roles within the travel industry," she added.
"After a month of intensive classroom-based training, they’ve been out to visit several agents including Swords Travel, to better understand how travel agents work."
