Jet2holidays has promoted Lloyd Cross to general manager trade sales after more than a decade with the Leeds-based operator.
TTG 30 Under 30 alumnus Cross has been a part of Jet2’s trade team for the past eight years, working with agents to grow their business with the company.
In his new role, Cross will be responsible for ensuring Jet2’s trade team are providing agent partners with the knowledge, support and data they need to sell Jet2holidays’ product confidently.
Cross will report to Jet2holidays head of trade sales Alan Cross.
The team of 14 currently work with more than 2,500 agencies and homeworkers across the UK and Ireland, supporting them with marketing campaigns, social media activity, training and business intelligence.
Activity includes campaigns like Travel Made Simple, launched last year, which sought to promote the vast and unique knowledge and expertise that exists throughout the UK and Ireland travel trade. More than 1,000 agents have engaged with Jet2 through Travel Made Simple.
“The Jet2holidays trade team leads the industry when it comes to supporting independent travel agents and our entire focus is on how we take our partnership approach to the next level," said Cross.
"With travel returning to normal and independent travel agents in the perfect position to capitalise on the subsequent demand, I am really looking forward to strengthening this partnership approach to ensure mutual success.
"We have a lot of exciting news in the pipeline, and in the spirit of working together, we always want to hear from our agency partners so that we can continue reacting quickly with exactly what they need.”
Cross was part of TTG’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2020/21.
