New domestic tourism platform Lovetovisit.com has ended its first year of business with a trading revenue of £4 million.
The digital platform which enables UK tourist attractions to sell tickets to a national audience, advertises over 2,700 bookable events to more than 200,000 regular users.
Lovetovisit, founded by Fed Pereira and twins Georgia and Alice Aubrey, won the John Hays Entrepreneur award at the 2023 Travel Industry Awards by TTG.
The London and Cardiff-based business aims to be “the best place for people to book things to do”.
Last year saw the launch of features including faster booking and password-free log-in, financed in part by successful fundraising campaigns. The latest of these, run through online investment platform Seedrs, saw the company raise 140% of its targeted £250,000 – bringing an additional £350,955 into the business.
Partnerships director and co-founder Georgia Aubrey said: “We have gone some way to solving a crucial problem for the tourist and leisure industries. The UK is home to so many incredible attractions, but until Lovetovisit.com there was a serious lack of digitisation, making it hard for millions of online consumers to find and book things to do.
“This year we’ll keep building, secure more partnerships, attract more customers, and bring extra resilience to UK tourism.”
Patrick Colquhoun of Luss Estates, a family attraction provider in Loch Lomond, added: “We have had an excellent experience with Lovetovisit.com. Their geographic reach has expanded recognition of our product to all areas of the UK, bringing visitors that we’ve never had before.”
