Luton airport has added a new carrier – one that bears an historic airline industry name.
Dan Air, a Romanian airline that launched last year, has become the latest airline to begin offering flights from Luton.
Dan Air will operate two weekly flights on Monday and Friday from Luton to Bacau in eastern Romania. Bacau is the 14th largest city in Romania and sits at the base of the Carpathian Mountains.
The Dan Air name is identical to one used by one of the UK’s original charter carriers, which existed from 1953 until 1992, when it was bought by British Airways.
