Malta will end its pre-travel Covid testing requirements later this month, Visit Malta has confirmed.
From 25 July, people travelling to the island destination without a vaccine or recovery certificate will no longer need to present evidence of a recent negative test for Covid-19.
Currently, vaccinated travellers must provide evidence of their jabs, while those who are non-fully vaccinated must show either proof of recovery from Covid-19 or a recent negative test for the virus (taken up to 24 hours prior to departure for antigen tests and up to 72 hours prior to departure for PCR tests).
These rules, though, will cease from Monday 25 July. Visit Malta updated its online Covid-19 travel guidance on Tuesday (12 July) to reflect the changes.
"As from the 25 July 2022, people travelling to Malta without a vaccine certificate or a recovery certificate do not need to present a negative PCR/rapid test before arriving in Malta," read the update.
