Market Place Travel has opened a new branch in the Yorkshire town of Richmond with a pledge to try to beat “any” holiday quote customers have seen elsewhere.
The shop, Market Place’s second, is aptly situated in Market Place in the town and is managed by Ryan Allaker, whom the agency said was a passionate about "delivering a first-class customer service”.
Market Place Travel was set up in 2018 by Mark Lomas and Karen Brown, who between them have over 50 years’ travel industry experience.
The agency is Abta and Atol licensed to ensure customers’ bookings are protected. Lomas revealed Market Place’s plans to expand to a second premises to TTG back in September.
“One of our key objectives is to ensure customers get value for money,” the agency said.
“We invite all our customers to challenge us to beat any holiday quote they have already seen, so many current customers have already saved pounds on their holiday when they have booked through Market Place Travel.”
In September, Lomas told TTG: “So many people have come up to me and said how brilliant it is that there will be travel agency here in Richmond again.”
Thomas Cook, and latterly Hays Travel, have previously operated the premises as a travel agency, Lomas revealed.
Three-time TTG Top 50 agency Market Place Travel launched more than 100 miles away in Staffordshire.
Lomas and Brown said they have built up “an extensive and loyal customer base, with a large part of the business coming from repeat booking from regular customers”.
Market Place Travel works with a range of suppliers, including Jet2holidays, Tui, Virgin Atlantic, Gold Medal, Riviera Travel and P&O Cruises, among others.
