Pilots working for German carrier Lufthansa are to go on strike on Friday (2 September) as disruption to flights continues around Europe.
Lufthansa said it was “unable to provide more specific information” on the impact of the walkouts by its pilots, which will take place at German airports from 00.01 to 23.59 local time on 2 September.
The airline said it “will do everything possible to minimise the impact of the strike measures for its passengers”, with customers urged to “continuously check” its website for updates on flights.
The dispute between Lufthansa and pilots’ union VC is over a new pay deal, with the union rejecting the latest pay offer from the airline and calling for its members to go on strike.
