Nearly a dozen new and returning routes will take off from Heathrow this winter, including direct services to Peru, the Maldives and Turks & Caicos.
These include Latam restoring a direct connection with Peru when it launches its new Heathrow-Lima service on 2 December. British Airways axed its Gatwick-Lima route in 2021 after five years.
Elsewhere, Turkmenistan Airlines will begin serving Ashgabat from Heathrow starting 4 November, while Virgin Atlantic will launch winter sun flights to the Maldives, Turks & Caicos, and Dubai.
“We are thrilled to see 11 new airline routes commencing at Heathrow this winter season,” said Heathrow chief commercial officer Ross Baker. “I am sure these new routes will prove popular this winter.”
Other additions include Lufthansa ramping up services to Austria and Germany, with flights to Salzburg and Friedrichshafen from 16 December.
Brits will also have more choice when it comes to ski destinations, with British Airways set to launch services to Turin from 10 December. This is in addition to new flights to Cologne, Belgrade and Riga.
