Gold Medal parent dnata Travel Group has promoted Simon Woodford to a new global role, reporting to John Bevan.
Woodford has been appointed vice-president global air services and distribution.
Since 2015, he has served as group direct – air supply leading the dnata team responsible for growing air revenue.
He previously held senior roles with Stella Travel Services UK prior to its acquisition by dnata, as well as STA Travel and Air France.
In his new role, Woodford will assume responsibility for dnata’s air teams working in its Dubai HQ, as well as the UK.
His remit will include strategic alliances, revenue management, GSA air and distribution.
He will also lead efforts to accelerate innovations, particularly in tech, "to meet the changing needs of modern distribution and retailing of air supply".
Woodford will report to divisional senior vice-president of dnata Travel Group, John Bevan.
Ailsa Pollard, dnata Travel Group chief executive UK and Europe, said the move would allow dnata’s teams in the Middle East and UK benefit from Woodford’s expertise and leadership.
