Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG) has expanded Debra Fox’s role outside of the Australia-Pacific region in a move that will now see her also manage the UK.
Fox takes up the new managing director for AKTG, UK and APAC role in April and will relocate here from Australia.
Previously based in Melbourne as managing director Australasia A&K & EVP APAC and trade sales for A&K & Crystal, Fox has been with the company just under two years.
AKTG said the move aligns with “ongoing global expansion and commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences in key markets”.
Her leadership is also seen as “instrumental in navigating the challenges of the post-pandemic travel industry and strengthening AKTG’s presence in the APAC market”.
Prior to this, the seasoned industry executive was also with APT Group for almost 17 years, and spent four years with The Inspire Collective, a boutique business consultancy.
AKTG CEO Cristina Levis said: “Debra’s deep understanding of both the UK and APAC markets, coupled with her exceptional leadership skills, makes her the ideal candidate to drive our growth and expansion strategies in these key regions.”
“I am honoured to take on this expanded role and excited to lead the talented teams in both the UK and APAC,” added Fox. “I look forward to leveraging my experience and insights to further strengthen AKTG’s position as a global leader in luxury travel.”
AKTG recently underwent a major rebranding and positioning exercise across all strands of the business, which now include Abercrombie & Kent, Crystal, A&K Sanctuary, Cox & Kings and Ecoventura as well as investments in other travel companies.
