Play has added a new Liverpool-Orlando route via Reykjavik to its winter 2022/23 schedule.
The budget Icelandic airline will offer a twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Florida from 4 November until 10 April. One-way tickets cost £149.99pp.
Flights will operate using the carrier’s new fleet of Airbus neo family aircraft and will depart Liverpool at 10.50am to arrive in Reykjavik at 1.40pm. The return leg departs Reykjavik at 7am and lands in Liverpool at 9.30am.
Birgir Jonsson, chief executive of Play, said the UK has "always been a particularly important market" for the airline.
"To announce a second route within a year of launching is an exciting milestone for the company," he added.
"We look forward to welcoming passengers from the North West region and beyond, to help them on their journey to Iceland or to the US.
"We are a no-frills airline, but with our reliable and affordable flights, Play’s passengers can spend their hard-earned money in their holiday destination, rather than on getting there."
