Norse Atlantic Airways has put more summer 2024 flights on sale as it starts to see demand soften ahead of the typically quieter winter season.
Norse, which operates transatlantic out of Gatwick, is now on sale through to October 2024, founder and chief executive Bjorn Tore Larsen confirmed on Monday (9 October).
It comes after Norse revealed it carried 132,556 passengers in September across 503 flights on a load factor of 78%, a 22 percentage point increase year-on-year.
Norse operated five charters during September, with Larsen confirming this number would grow during the winter to maximise usage of its aircraft.
"We have seen continued strong demand at the beginning of the month, as expected this has begun to soften towards the end of September in certain markets as we transition to our winter schedule," he said.
"We have already successfully completed five ACMI/charters in September, and this will continue to grow throughout the winter, contributing a positive revenue stream for the company as we optimise the use of our fleet in the most efficient way during this period."
Larsen added Norse had extended the availability of its summer flights through to October 2024, giving agents and consumers more visibility and range when it comes to booking.
It was confirmed last month Norse would drop its Gatwick-San Francisco at the end of October, just four months after it launched.
